Fallen Hero 04:16
Fallen Hero by Stan Snow Big river flowing out of the southland You got a dream and it’s calling to you You don’t know if it’s truth or illusion You gotta chase it down, it’s running you through Drive west to the City of Angels Blue sky, stars all around They’ll sign you up, and take all your money You got the goods, you’re the new kid in town Fire and ice, are in your blood Dead or alive, it’s not enough You’re a fallen hero Take your time, you got nothing to lose They’ll tell you anything to get you to break You gotta line’em up and tell’em to choose You’re not ever gonna give what they take You got a mind and a band full of horses They got the cocaine radio spot You got to find a way to get it all out there It doesn’t matter if they like it or not Fire and ice, are in your blood Dead or alive, it’s not enough You’re a fallen hero Piano solo Guitar Solo Fire and ice, are in your blood Dead or alive, it’s not enough You’re a fallen hero Piano solo

Snowman 04:14
Snowman by Jed Moffitt I have heard we see the world not as it is, but as we are. I have heard we see the world not as it is, but as we are. I’m just fumbling along, working every day It is never black and white, just another shade of grey The world as it is, is as it is, and it is blowing me away. I have heard there is a snowman in the mountains of Tibet. A monster from my nightmare, a beast I’ve never met. He keeps on running faster, the closer that I get They swear that he is up there but I haven’t seen him yet Or maybe he’s a memory that I sooner would forget. Every night I look up at the moon and I stare. And every morning I look down at the ground And I notice that I have not gone anywhere And I notice that I seem very similar to me Except the part that fell away and slipped into the sea The thing that I am, and the thing I used to be. (Guitar Solo) I have heard there is a heaven where all the pretty angels play. I have heard there is a heaven where all the pretty angels play. Some say they’re only monsters making angels in the snow, I suppose that could be true cause you never really know, In the meantime I am mingling with the mermaids and the minions, The prophets and the pundits, and the second-hand opinions spun by Presidents from hell and their disgraceful dispositions in the big show Every night, I take sight, of the light in your hair. And I consider the fiasco blowing up all around, All the pieces on the ground and the sounds in the air Of the karma that I’ve wrought that is traceable to me, And of the fragments of the thought that so insidiously, divide The thing that I am, from the thing I used to be The thing I used to be The thing I used to be

Johnny 05:00
Johnny by Stan Snow Johnny, you’re lookin’ for trouble Dumber than a bag of hammers, you got a heart made of lead You drive down to the local church All riled up, you’re gonna blow it up instead There’s something, twisted in your head You think you’re preachin’ righteousness, but that ain’t what you’ve been fed Burnin’ down a house of faith You’ve been seriously misled What got you so bent? You got a fire in your belly and brain with a mile wide dent Can’t you see the light is red? Johnny, you’re nothin’ but dead Listen, there’s choppers in the air They’re comin’ downtown to get you Johnny, they got a sniper out there You think you’re smarter than the national guard, but you don’t know nothin’, and they don’t even care What got you so bent? You got a fire in your belly and brain with a mile wide dent Can’t you see the light is red? Johnny, you’re nothin’ but dead Bridge Guitar solo What got you so bent? You got a fire in your belly and brain with a mile wide dent Can’t you see the light is red? Johnny, you’re nothin’ but dead

Castle 04:23
Castle by Jed Moffitt There is a castle over the water A rumor of an edge to the world A waterfall that will swallow you whole Shatter your mind, and devour your soul A gyre of destruction where the monsters play A churning abyss to siphon you away Over the rim, dangling below Between everything you believe, and everything that you know You cannot storm the castle without swimming the moat No treading water, no keeping yourself afloat You can try to find an empty bottle, and write yourself a message in time But you cannot storm the castle unless you cross a fire in line Navigating the chasm of risk reward Seems there’s always one more leap of faith Some eye of the needle, some broken accord (Guitar Solo) Columbus was my brother Cortez was my friend Adventure is my direction Suffering is my trend Sirens are calling, from over the sea Engaging my attention indefinitely Gotta weigh anchor at the end of the day Abandon the castle I wouldn’t live there anyway You cannot storm the castle without swimming the moat No treading water, no keeping yourself afloat You can try to find an empty bottle, and write yourself a message in time But you cannot storm the castle, unless you cross a fire… You cannot storm the castle You cannot storm the castle You cannot storm the castle

Hope 05:05
Hope by Stan Snow There’s a fire on top of the mountain And you can see it wherever you go It’s like a beacon in the middle of judgment day A warning to the people you know It may not ease your mind But your time is gonna come And all of those painful tears Will get behind us And if we stand and don’t let go We can find a way through ……………and hang on to hope There’s a time and place for everything But when you’re down, there’s nowhere to go You can search for the light in the tunnel baby But you may never find the answers you need to know It may not be your time But you know it’s gonna come And all of those painful years Will get behind us And if we stand and don’t let go We can find a way through …………..and hang on to hope Bridge / Guitar solo Piano solo Well you can see all the way to the promised land If you forget about the smoke and the rain It’s like a stranger in the heart of a desert storm A fire in the eye of a hurricane It may not ease your mind But your time is gonna come And all of those painful tears Will get behind us And if we stand and don’t let go We can find a way through …………..and hang on to hope

Alive Tonight by Jed Moffitt I listen outside in the dark The wind blows a cold rain, and the cats run under the bed Power lines sing, branches break Windows rattle and shake, to wake the dead The music intermingles with the wine and the wall of sound Picking me up and slamming me into the ground There are days I am living on cruise control, miles away from the light But man, I am alive tonight I feel like my hair is on fire Sometimes I can see me asleep on a Portuguese beach when I retire Then in my dream the ants come crawling all over my skin And I long for a song played sweeter by the reaper on a bluegrass mandolin The music intermingles with the wine and the wall of sound Like a feedback loop in an encounter group, spinning around and around Sheep are bleating in the company meeting, sleeping by the firelight But man, I am alive tonight I put on some magic glasses and held the whole world in my hands The perspective of the moon from a children’s tune that nobody understands From a million miles, crocodiles hover under a Venusian sky They appear as a souvenir to the naked eye (Guitar Solo) The music intermingles with the wine and the wall of sound I am drinking from a fire hose that goes and goes until I almost drown There are days that portend an inglorious end in a gunfight under the moonlight But man, I am alive tonight

Already Gone 05:33
Already Gone by Stan Snow Walking down to the city at night Looking for a reason to live Everyday is like a bat out of hell I don’t know what there’s left to give You say it just takes time But I need to know ….where to draw the line How far can you take this road If you can’t find a way to get out Tell me, how long can you reach for the top If you never find a way to get down How strong do you have to hold on If you can’t see a way to get in Tell me, how long can you hang from the edge If you never get a chance til the end I don’t know if I’ll ever find a way to move on I’m already gone Lost my job and the money ran out No one there to lend me a hand I keep tryin’ to get sober enough But no one really understands I can see the sign on the wall There’s no exit here …except to take the fall How far can you take this road If you can’t find a way to get out Tell me, how long can you reach for the top If you never find a way to get down How strong do you have to hold on If you can’t see a way to get in Tell me, how long can you hang from the edge If you never get a chance til the end I don’t know if I’ll ever find a way to move on I’m already gone (Guitar Solo) It’s ok, it’s gonna be alright I think I’m gonna make it this time I don’t know if it’s ever enough But it’s got to be to keep me alive I can take it if you give me a chance There’s no mystery here …it’s only a circumstance How far can you take this road If you can’t find a way to get out Tell me, how long can you reach for the top If you never find a way to get down How strong do you have to hold on If you can’t see a way to get in Tell me, how long can you hang from the edge If you never get a chance til the end I don’t know if I’ll ever find a way to move on I'm already gone

Land of Broken Dreams by Jed Moffitt and Stan Snow In the Halcyon days, of platinum and vinyl, You could lay down your dollars, and be part of a rock star’s dream You thumbed through the pictures, of the princes who rose to the top of the rarefied air in this Pyramid Scheme Rock and roll children in rebellion, couldn’t care less They were down for the sound, and the chambers of the locked away princess A squire emerged from the fire, and carried us to heights we’d not seen He brought us together in the land of broken dreams Vipers and stoners and frat boys and loners Conspired together to tether the squire to the stage The squire became a knight, became a king, and he would sing, Long after midnight, a wellspring of anthems from the golden age In the city of the tortured executive, a coronation began to unfold and the thought he would leave us that night was forever untold We ransacked the store, and we still wanted more But the streambed runs dry where the pure water flowed, Leaving one for the angel of death, and one for the road Interlude Where is he now? this american golden child? Who gave us his life for a season and who for some reason our mothers reviled Who will broker this mexican standoff As we wait for the world to explode? Singing one for the angel of death…and one for the road

Did It Really Happen by Jed Moffitt I wonder if some bright light burned a fiery hole in the dark side of my brain. I wonder is it black and white, can I extradite my soul from this hurricane. They say that the power of a positive mind Is all you need to make the world fall at your feet, but I know I can sometimes get carried away. Did it really happen? Or was it a story that I made up, just something to say. Did it really happen? Did it really happen that way? He raised the alarm, the Mexican army deployed in the desert As far as the eye could see. It was twenty to one. Outmanned and outgunned, he died for his buddies And his place in history. They say that he fell amongst a score of his foes. They lay around in scattered patterns on the ground, but some whispered That he was shot while he was running away. Did it really happen? Or was it a story that I made up, just something to say. Did it really happen? Did it really happen that way? (Sax solo) They say that your story at the end of the day Is just a frame laid by the winners of a game, and what’s more, The truth is just the spoils of war. Did it really happen? Or was it a story that I made up, an act in a play, Where I live, to fight another day, Did it really happen that way? Some buried treasure I was hoping to find? Is it the truth, Or just a legend in my own mind?

Sahara 06:43
Sahara by Stan Snow Dry as a bone On the desert you ride Sun beating down on your soul Ocean of sand Burning hot like fire A stranger appears to take your toll ……he says You can see, to the cliffs of Jordan You can ride, through the Valley of Kings Float down the Nile, on a miracle mile But you can’t survive….. Sahara Wind rushes down On the dunes late at night Minds travel far for a drink No one knows How we landed here Searching for the grail…. in the keep You can see, to the cliffs of Jordan You can ride, through the Valley of Kings Float down the Nile, on a miracle mile But you can’t survive….. Sahara Interlude Piano solo Time marches on Like a soldier in line Pharaohs of old lay asleep If we weather the storm We’ll be free someday And we’ll find our way out of this heat You can see, to the cliffs of Jordan You can ride, through the Valley of Kings Float down the Nile, on a miracle mile But you can’t survive….. Sahara

End of the World by Jed Moffitt I want a woman With flowers on her skin, And thunder in her righteous words That move me deep within The sleepy fog of time That obscures the light of day She burns through like a laser beam And carries me away The lonely ones speak of a freedom That runs with the wind But to worship at the altar of freedom Is a tired old prayer to a deadbeat saint Selling you a heaven he cannot defend I drink the holy wine With relative unease And as the shadows lengthen I see the forest through the trees And I want a woman To help me feel the light That plays on the horizon As we welcome in the night At the end of the world At the end of the world At the end of the world (Sax Solo) I want a woman With Bourbon on her breath To dance me on my walk today The walk of life and death As everything changes And plans go up in smoke I want a girl, alive in the world To time and again, take me in To time and again, take me in And help me understand the joke
